For more than fifteen years I have partnered with the Irvine Company to design digital experiences that connect people to retail destinations in meaningful ways. From interactive AR storytelling at Fashion Island to AI-powered holiday shopping assistants and cross-device platforms like Retail Therapy, my work has consistently blended strategy, creativity, and technology to enhance customer engagement and elevate Irvine Company’s premium brand presence.

Holiday Helper 2024

An AI-powered shopping assistant designed to make holiday gifting easier. I led the UX and creative direction for Irvine Company Retail Properties’ first AI-driven digital experience. The mobile web app helped shoppers find personalized gift recommendations and store promotions, delivering a seamless bridge between online discovery and in-person shopping. The launch was supported by a campaign video optimized for social, web, and email.

IMPACT: Increased engagement across Irvine Company’s retail properties and introduced a new standard for customer interaction during the holiday season

Retail Therapy

Partnered with Irvine Company on a redesign of Retail Therapy, a cross-device platform that delivers exclusive retail offers and experiences. Led the UX for both phase one (design refresh and unification) and phase two (enhancing engagement, boosting sign-ups, and identifying new features).

IMPACT: Record-breaking redemption rates, higher monthly users, and a significant increase in new customer acquisition

Designed and directed an interactive AR experience called Secrets of Fashion Island. This guided visitors through eight physical artifacts across the property, weaving storytelling and digital exploration into the shopping experience. The experience was built using existing design modules, making production efficient while still delivering immersive engagement.
